Faculty on the Front Lines: The QPR Suicide Prevention
Program
Thursday, April 3; 3:00-4:30 p.m.; CTLT Instructional Resource Commons
QPR stands for Question, Persuade, and Refer. Just as people trained
in CPR and the Heimlich Maneuver help save thousands of lives each
year, people trained in QPR learn how to recognize the warning signs
of a suicide crisis and how to question, persuade, and refer someone
for help. This 90 minute session will provide you with the skills
to act—not as a counselor, but as a concerned member of the
ISU community.
